Step 0 — A small agreement before we start

The point of this activity is not to finish it. The point is to practice being someone you're not yet — a parent, a teacher, an administrator — with care. Read each line. Check it only if you mean it.

I will stay in my assigned role even when it feels uncomfortable, awkward, or unfamiliar — especially then.I will listen to my groupmates as people, not as classmates performing an assignment. I will not rush them.I will let myself feel something here. If a moment is hard, I will sit with it instead of skipping past it.
